Team Dignitas, with momentum, surges onward against Team Liquid and Team Envy.
After two riveting victories against Counter Logic Gaming and Echo Fox, Team Dignitas will look to carry their momentum against Team Liquid and Team Envy. While both of Team Dignitas’ opponents sit in the bottom of the NA LCS standings, they should not be underestimated, as Team Liquid and Team Envy’s records mislead casual fans with their propensity to explode time to time and surprise their opponents with commanding victories.

#DIGTL Game Preview - March 17, 2017
Battle Theater (NALCS1) 12:00 p.m. PT / 3:00 p.m. ET
Game Summary
Team Dignitas (6-8) looks to continue their 2 game win streak when it takes on Team Liquid Friday afternoon. The best-of-three series will take place in Battle Theater (NALCS1) approximately 3:00 p.m. (PT).
Team Liquid (4-10) has made several roster changes between their first encounter and second in order to make a late-season push, most notable moving Gwang-Jin “Piglet” Chae to the mid lane and loaning Yiliang “Doublelift” Peng as the team’s starting AD Carry.
With the addition of Doublelift, despite having mid to late game troubles closing out games, Team Liquid has shown potential to command early game leads. In his first week, Doublelift has shown little rust in the early game, with league-leading figures in GD10 (227), XDP10 (253) and CSD10 (13.4).
As Doublelift is renowned to command early leads simply through the laning phase, all eyes will be on him and Benjamin “LOD” deMunck, as Team Dignitas may look to contain Team Liquid’s newest weapon and in-game leader. While LOD is not known to be a dominant early-game farmer (-3.9 CSD10), if he can come even to Doublelift, LOD is known to be one of Team Dignitas’ most reliable damage threats come skirmishes and team fights (team leading 26.8% DMG%).

Battle Arena (NALCS1) 3:00 p.m. PT / 6:00 p.m. ET
Game Summary
After facing Team Liquid, Team Dignitas will continue their late-season push to the playoffs with their second Week 8 match against Team Envy. Saturday’s match will kickstart the NA LCS in Battle Arena (NALCS1) approximately 12:00 p.m. (PT).
Team Envy (3-11) unlike Team Liquid, is opting to stand pat with their roster, electing their current iteration to go through the growing pains while learning to play as a team. While Team Envy sits 10th in the standings, they should not be underestimated as they have shown the propensity to secure meaningful victories with wins against Team Liquid, Immortals, and Echo Fox.
Looking at the opposite side of the Rift, who ends up on top between top laners Wu-Yeong “Seraph” Shin and Chan-Ho “Ssumday” Kim may decisively indicate who ends up victorious in the best-of-three series. Seraph and Ssumday are both known to command carry potential, indicative with both being in the upper half of GOLD% (21.4% and 23.6% respectively) as well as DMG% (20.2% and 23.2% respectively) amongst NA LCS top laners.
