This article will give you an overview over the attacking side of Overwatch's payload map Dorado
Dorado is one of the first payload maps in Overwatch and often considered one of the hardest payload maps to attack on. There are some really hard chokepoints and it's often frustrating for the offense to get through them. This is also the reason why Dorado isn't that popular in the competitive scene.
The first checkpoint
Dorado's first checkpoint is far away from where you start as the offense and pretty easy to hold for the defensive side. Usually defenders don't even consider to hold the first part of the checkpoint since they have no ultimate charges up and an early death can easily loose them the first checkpoint. So the first time you will meet the enemy team is probably the first bridge in front of the marketplace. This point is essential to hold as a defender and one of the hardest spots to break through.
First checkpoint on Dorado: The Marketplace
To get through this chokepoint you usually have to get a good combination of ultimates or good flanking heroes like Tracer or Genji. A sniper will probably stand up about the door after the checkpoint which makes it really hard to get through this chokepoint. Try to use at least two tanks for this chokepoint to block as much damage as you can. Reinhardt together with Zarya is a good combination for blocking damage and dealing it back to enemies. Zarya's ultimate is also really good for this chokepoint. Use a support like Lucio or Mercy to protect your tanks and boost your damage. You also have to look out for a teleporter which is usually placed behind the checkpoint or in the house directly after you enter the marketplace. If your team runs a sniper, you should try to place them on the bridge above the chokepoint or on the stairs on right side of the marketplace. Take care of enemy flanking heroes as well as McCree or Pharah, who easily can get behind you while you try to get through the chokepoint and wipe your team with their ultimates.

The Second Checkpoint
While the enemy team gave you some space on the first checkpoint, things get harder on the second stage of the map, especially directly after you have captured the first checkpoint. The chapel in front of you is a nice place for the enemy team to defend the next checkpoint and you have to look out for a sniper or a Pharah on the balcony above you as well as on the second bridge on the map. It's also a very good spot for a Reaper or a Genji to drop down with their ultimates. As an attacker, you can climb up to the balcony of the chapel by using the stairs on your right after the checkpoint and then use the house front right in front of the chapel to carefully walk on.
The chapel of Dorado
When you move through the street in front of the chapel, you will face the second part of this stage and one of the easier chokepoints on this map. After you get through the bridge you'll get on a big place, widely open and with two balconies on your left and your right where enemies can defend. Your sniper and Pharah can position themselves in the upper ranks of the chapel to have an advantage over the enemy team. The payload is only about 15 meters from its destination and with one or two tanks and a defensive ultimate like a Sound Barrier or a Resurrect, you can easily push it to the checkpoint. If you got this far, the enemy team has to use a lot of ultimates to hold you back from getting the payload on the checkpoint, which will give you an advantage over your enemies in the last stage of Dorado.

The Final Stage
If your team is still running a sniper, it's probably the right time to swap because the next checkpoint has a lot of close combat and a sniper has a really hard time finding kills. This stage extremely favors heroes like Reaper, Pharah or Lucio. After you get through the door you will find yourself in a big hall. Since you only have a few meters left until you finish the map, you will constantly fight against the enemies. Heroes like McCree easily can climb up the stairs on the right and get to higher ground to use their ultimates and hit as many targets as you can.
The final stage
A second tank like Winston will definitely help you to get safely through this stage. The third bridge is also the third chokepoint, as it's really easy for the enemies to hold this point when they got someone on top of the bridge or in the room behind the bridge. Take care of enemy flanking heroes, which can drop down into the house on your left. This is also a spot where you can climb up the wall to get behind the enemies. Ultimates like Graviton Surge or Rocket Barrage are really good during this stage since you don't have much space and the enemies be forced to stand together. You also have to consider that their spawn is much closer right now to the last point than your spawn is. So every team wipe will cost you a huge amount of time. That's why a Mercy is really good on the attack, as her Resurrect will get you back after the enemy team has used all their ultimates.
Conclusion
Dorado is one of the harder maps to attack on, since there are really hard chokepoints on every stage of the map. Try to get an advantage over the enemy team by stacking ultimates together to wipe out the enemy team at those chokepoints. When you have problems with a Widowmaker, Torbjörn turret or a teleporter, try to use mobile heroes to your advantage and learn what ways are the best for flanking.
