Useful tips to catch up to your opponent when fallen behind in LoL
We've all been in situations where the only thing left in sight is an incoming loss, though you shouldn't give up.

When being either a tiny bit behind, or quite far behind, there are a lot of things you can do to turn this around and end up winning your game. It can be a lot easier than you think, as long as you work together as a team, of course!

Being behind in laning phase:
Coming back from being behind in laning phase is probably the easiest out of all phases within a game. It really doesn't require all too much, in fact, it requires you to do less. Just play safer, keep the minion wave close to your turret so you can farm and possibly deny farm.
- For Laners:
Ask for ganks too, if you've been keeping the wave more to your side, they might have warded river bush or tri-bush though, so make your jungler aware of it. This way you'll keep up in CS, and if there were successful ganks, you could even have kills, and end up ahead instead of what you were before, behind. Don't forget to keep bushes warded in case they dive you with their jungler. Quite important because if they do end up diving you and they get extra kills, you'll only end up falling behind even more.
- For Junglers:
Stay in your jungle, keep as much bushes/camps warded as you can, ask for your teammates to ward things for you if you've run out or placed all 3 wards. You need to keep up item/gold wise to help out your laners, but you should still try to gank your laners and see if you can catch up with the gold from an easy kill.
You can also consider taking an early Dragon if you all have enough health after a successful botlane gank, or Rift Herald if you've ganked toplane successfully.
Being behind mid-game:
It gets a bit tougher to come back here, but there's still a decent chance. Just as during laning phase, keeping up in farm is key to catching up, you need the gold for items, so as a jungler, keep on taking jungle camps, as a laner, keep on farming minions.
Map awareness plays a big part too. You have to always know which lanes are pushing towards you and go shove them out. Once a teammate goes off to push back a certain lane, he has to tell the rest of the team so they can play safer and avoid being in dangerous positions.
Objectives become an important role mid-game, keep an eye on where you can easily take these without having to force a teamfight. If you see most of the enemies topside, try to sneak a dragon (make sure you've sweeped out the area to see if they've warded it). If they're mostly botside, take top turret(s) if not taken, but be careful since they can easily collapse on you and force a teamfight.
If a 5v5 is about to happen though, don't just stand there if nothing's happening, tell your team to back off a bit and continue farming raptors or wolves if they pressure mid for example. Grouping isn't always the right answer, they'll just poke you until they decide to dive all of you and ace. Which will lead to your team being behind even more. In the end, mid-game becomes more about grabbing jungle camps and pushing out lanes to pressure the enemies back, which will give you the opportunity to catch up in gold/items. Here too, keep everything warded (bushes, Dragon and Baron), you really don't want to facecheck a bush and die instantly, giving them the chance to take objectives or force a 5v4 teamfight.
Being behind late-game:
This one is tricky but once again, still possible.
Wards. This is all about wards, if you're behind late game it probably means they can pressure you whenever they want, however they want. Warding is one way to react to this early and stop them. Ward Dragon, Baron and everything within the jungle you can possibly ward. One misstep and once again, it'll end up in a forced 5v4 teamfight resulting into a lost game. Prevent this, as hard as it may be. They'll end up wanting to take Baron or (Elder) Dragon if not taken already, try to steal it without having to die unnecessarily. Other than this, farm up, the minions are probably nearby base, making it easier to push back while earning free gold. Try to synergize with your team and its composition, make the best out of it and teamfight when you're all ready for it, with most of, or all of your summoner spells and ultimates ready.
You'll definitely have a chance to turn around a game with these little tips, no matter what phase of the game it is. Make the best out of it, and try your hardest to turn the game around, it's possible!
