Fortnite C6S3: All Hero Items and How to Find Them

Who doesn’t want to be a superhero? Well, Fortnite’s new season allows you to be one thanks to the new Hero items, and this article is all about them.

Every Fortnite season brings something new and exciting wrapped in a fresh theme. For this season, the theme is entirely about superheroes, making the island resemble an episode of My Hero Academia.

Of course, this brings new POIs, such as Supernova Academy, and weapons like the Deadeye DMR, but we also have something new this season: Hero items. These are gadgets that give you superpower-like abilities and attacks. You can scan your surroundings for enemies, leap in the air to shoot power bombs, or traverse around the map fast. There are so many cool items to cover, so let’s dive in.

Myst Gauntlets

Myst Gauntlets are the weakest of the hero items this season, but they are still quite fun to use. These gauntlets fire a mist of shadowy energy at the enemy. There isn’t much range on and it deals decent damage.

It packs a punch at close quarters, making it a fun substitute for the SMG. Myst Gauntlets also combine with one other hero item to create the ultimate hero item, but we will get into that later.

As for how to find these Gauntlets? Rank B or higher caches are your best bets as it’s a guaranteed Hero Item drop, but you can find these in chests and floor loot if you are lucky.

Overall, the Myst gauntlets are powerful, but they are not the best hero items we have.

Killswitch Revolvers

The Killswitch Revolvers are by far the most unique and fun weapons to use this season. At first glance, they look like your average dual pistols; however, the Killswitch revolver comes with two interesting abilities that make it the weapon to get this season.

The first is the ability to dodge. After jumping, you can hit the jump button again to dodge in any direction you want. This dodge also negates fall damage, so you can leap off a tall structure and dodge at the last moment to cancel the fall damage. Players have come up with unique ways to use this dodge mechanic, like dodging inside the box to throw off the enemy’s aim.

The second ability is even more absurd. If you ADS (Aim-down sights), you enter hangtime, time slows down for yourself, and you get no bloom or recoil, the guns become 100% accurate. The slow motion applies to you only.

With 100% accuracy, you can 0 to 200 for far away. The guns pack a lot of punch, with the weakest variant dealing 41 per shot, and it scales up to 47 with the Mythic variant.

The Killswitch Revolvers can be found anywhere, but you have the best chance from a Hero cache.

Tracking Visor

Not all hero items are for destruction and causing havoc; some are made for reconnaissance, and that’s exactly what the Tracking Visor does.

Upon use, a pulse will radiate from you in a sphere, and it covers a small radius. Enemies, their footsteps, and chests are marked. This item is built for collecting information on your enemies.

The tracking Visor works best in buildings and areas with multiple elevations. As it can be difficult to pinpoint the enemy's location just from their footsteps, the vertical audio in Fortnite isn’t the greatest, after all. However, the Tracking Visor is a double-edged sword as the scan pulse is seen by any player in that area, and because it radiates from you, smart players can judge your location from it.

So, it’s not the best weapon if you want to make a stealth approach on your enemies, but it works well when the fight has started and the enemy is hard to find. It works great in stacked endgames too, allowing you to see every enemy below and above you with ease.

Much like all hero items, the Tracking Visor can be found in hero caches, chests, and (if you are lucky) floor loot.

Bass Boost

The Bass Boost feels like a hero item more than any other. It allows you to double/triple jump in the air and shoot sound-powered balls at enemies and structures. These spheres of power decimate structures, making them perfect for enemies that build a lot.

Not to mention, it allows you to double and triple jump, making it easier to gain height in a fight. You can find the Bass Boost item in hero caches and chests.

Surf Cube

Who doesn’t like a hoverboard, or in Fortnite’s case, the surfboard? You can get your hands on a Cube-Matter surfboard and traverse around POIs with ease.

Apart from being fun, the Surf Cube can be handy while rotating. It’s quite fast, so you can cover a lot of ground quickly—running away from the zone will be easy for you.

Much like most hero items, the Surf Cube can be found in hero caches and chests.

Storm Beast’s Pom Poms

Storm Beast’s Poms Poms transforms you into a powerful and mobile shadow monster. You get extra health, faster movement speed, and the ability to leap and slam down on opponents. You can’t use guns while in the shadow monster form, so your hands are all you have to defeat enemies.

While this season is focused on heroes, this item feels more like something a villain would use. It gives you the perfect monster fantasy, allowing you to leap and destroy enemies and their buildings.

Myst Form

When it comes to the coolest hero item this season, the Myst Form is a close contender. It transforms you into an invulnerable flock of shadowy ravens that can cover a short distance. It’s like being Itachi from Naruto.

This is an extremely sick escape or movement ability, allowing you to either retreat or push onto enemies without taking damage. However, the Myst Form can fuse together with the Myst Gauntlets to become Ascended Mysts, giving you the power of both but stronger.

The gauntlet ability deals more damage, whereas the maneuver ability lasts longer. You can find the Myst Form in hero caches and chests.

Conclusion

The Hero Items are a unique and fun addition to this season. Allowing you to live your superhero fantasies. Whether you want to ride around the map on Surf Cube, wreak havoc with the Bass Boost, or show your gunslinging skills with the Killswitch revolvers, this season offers it all.
