POIs

Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 2 is called Lawless. The theme revolves around the mafia, black markets, and mobs. Of course, the POIs closely follow this theme. Following are all the new-named POIs available on the map this season, each of them filled with chests, ammo boxes, and all sorts of loot. Some of them even have vaults that can get you stocked up in the early game.

Lonewolf Lair - The residence of Fletcher Kane, the villain of Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 2. It’s a huge mansion filled with Fletcher’s henchmen; even one wrong step and they will unleash bullets on you. If you can fight your way through them, you will have a chance to challenge the boss himself.

Crime City - Imagine a dark, underground, lawless city that is designed for criminals; that’s Crime City. It has a neo-Gotham-esque vibe, which makes dropping there worth it. Not to mention, you can also hit the bank there for extra loot from the vault.

Shiny Shaft - Shiny Shaft is Fletcher’s main source of income; it houses his gold mining operation. As the name suggests, the POI has noticeable similarities with Shifty Shafts, adding a bit of a nostalgic vibe to the entire POI.

Outlaw Oasis - A luxurious spa resort for the richest criminals to relax after a big job. It’s filled with loot and chests, so definitely try dropping in and enjoy the spa while you are at it.

Weapons And Items

A new season means a new arsenal of weapons to carry in your loadout, and this season, we have been given a bunch.

Collateral Damage Assault Rifle

Another AR joins the Fortnite loot pool. This time, it’s the Collateral Damage AR. It’s a fast-firing and high-damage AR with a strong kick on it. It doesn’t have a scope, so you will have to use it in ADS mode, but it can shred enemies up close. However, the recoil is quite bad, so using it for long-range fights might be a bit difficult.

Falcon Eye Sniper

But long-range shouldn’t be a problem anymore, since Snipers are back. The Falcon Eye Sniper joins the armory in Fortnite Season 2. It’s your standard bolt action rifle that will send you back to the lobby with a headshot.

One thing’s for sure: peeking in this season is going to be very dangerous.

Upcoming Weapons

That’s not it, as we are going to get more weapons in the upcoming weeks. One of which is an Outlaw shotgun, which is another addition to the shotguns in Fortnite. Along with this, there is a very interesting weapon releasing called Pump and Dump. It’s a dual-wield weapon where you will have a shotgun in one hand and an SMG in the other, but it will occupy one slot.

The Kneecapper and Sub-Zero’s Kombat Kit

Ranged weapons aren’t the only new thing this season. We have two solid melee weapons that are even more fun than the AR and Sniper. The Kneecapper is a power-infused baseball bat that you can use to smash people. On the other hand, Sub-Zero’s kit allows you to harness the power of frost and nail down enemies with punches and kicks.

Healing and Other Items

Utility items are an important part of your loadout, and we have a couple of good options this season. For healing, we have the Med Mist, which you can throw to create a smokescreen that also restores health. There are also Gold Splashes that work exactly like Chug Splashes but also give you the Gold Rush Effect.

If you have trouble finding enemies, the Pulse Scanner will be useful. And, if you are low on mats, you can use a Port-a-Cover to instantly create some cover.

New Vehicle

There has to be some way Fletcher’s gold is transported, and that’s where the Armored Transport comes in. You will find these around the map, and they are usually escorted by a group of henchmen. You can defeat them and try to unlock the truck for some loot.

The train is also part of Fletcher’s operations now. You will have to defeat all the enemies there and take down the defenses to get your hands on some nice loot.

Thermite and Vaults

Vaults don’t need keycards anymore, and why would they? This is a season about heists. The logical way to open a vault would be to blow it up. That’s where Thermite comes in. All you need to do is attach it to a vault and wait for it to melt the locks. You can speed up the process by shooting the locks to weaken them.

You can also use the new Plasma Burst Laser for this, as well as the Rocket Drill, which will be released in a few weeks.

Dill Bits, Gold Bars, and Black Markets

a coin and a stack of gold bars

Flethcer has introduced a new currency this season called Dill Bits. They are worth more than gold bars but don’t transfer over to the next games. So you should spend them as soon as you can. But, where do you spend them?

Well, you can look for Black Markets around the map; this is where you will find the latest and greatest weapons that you can buy with either Gold Bars or Dill Bits.

Fletcher Kane’s Mythic Weapon and Medallion

A man wearing a wolf mask

Of course, there can’t be a new season without a new Mythic weapon and Medallion. All you need to do is make your way to the Lonewolf Lair, defeat Fletcher, and get your hands on Mythic Fletcher Kane’s Double Down Pistol and the Unstoppable Medallion.

The Unstoppable Medallion increases your sprinting speed and allows you to ram opponents. On the other hand, the Double Down Pistol is a slow-firing, hard-hitting pistol similar to the Hand Cannon.

Boons

Five gray cards with different symbols on them.

To top it all off, we also have new boons this season. They were introduced last season and were one of the best additions to the game. Here are the new boons in Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 2

  • Vulture Boon: Briefly shows the location of eliminated enemies on the map.
  • Gold Rush Boon: Activates Gold Rush when opening or destroying Chests.
  • Adrenaline Rush Boon: Grants the Slap effect (short-term unlimited Energy regen) from mantling, hurdling, and wall jumping.
  • Gold Ammo Boon: Provides ammo when picking up Bars.
  • Greed Boon: Gives extra Bars from eliminations and opening containers.

Conclusion

The new season is full of fun stuff. From new POIs like Lonewolf Lair to fun weapons like the Kneecapper, there is much to try. Not to mention the stuff that’s going to be released later, like the Pump and Dump and Rocket Drill.

Overall, this is a fantastic season in terms of content, and it’s only going to get better.
